Jim Hageman is the Managing Director for Sett & Lucas Unicorns (SLU). Jim brings over 30 years of experience in Corporate Development, Capital Raise, M&A, IT Strategy and Private Equity relationships. Prior to joining SLU, Jim coached several hundred business owners with their organization goals, growth plans, and exit strategies, trained executive teams in Solution Selling, Integrity Selling, and Executive Time Management, and provided strategic technology solutions to several Fortune 500 clients.
In his free time, Jim enjoys Ministry, reading, dancing, and travelling.
As country head of S&L India, MK drives the cross-border M&A across global offices of Sett & Lucas. With over two decades experience with global financial institutions, he is an expert in private placement, and M&A with focus towards technology and B2C/B2B2C business models.
Prior to S&L he was with Royal Bank of Scotland and ABN Amro managing technology for treasury. He holds a PGDBA in Finance and BE in Mechanical Engineering. He is passionate about advising startups and next generation disruptive business models.
Ankit Manocha is an Associate Vice President – M&A and Capital Raise at Sett & Lucas Unicorns. He has over 11 years of Corporate Development, Capital Raise, M&A and Consulting experience. As an AVP, Ankit is tasked with identifying opportunities in the private markets, responsible for deal sourcing, building a strong network of local and global investors while creating business partnerships and private equity investments. In addition, Ankit has experience in business development and strategy consulting, advised firms across Technology and Industrial verticals. His diverse background qualifies him to be a true partner and support system for entrepreneurs at any stage of their journey.
Ankit earned an MBA from University of Sunderland (UK). In addition, during his professional career, Ankit has attended several seminars related to capital advisory, deal management and post-merger integration (PMI). In his free time, Ankit enjoys long drives, reading, and playing musical instruments.
Ajay Kuruvila is an Associate Vice President for Sett & Lucas Unicorns focused on working with startups in Canada. Ajay comes with over a decade worth of experience advising and helping entrepreneurs across US, UK and India build and grow their organization’s sales and operations teams. He has worked in and with startups, this has helped him understand the culture & dynamics within such organizations.
Ajay is an adventure seeker and in his spare time can be found scuba diving, swimming, kayaking or cooking.
